READING IS IMPORTANT! The most important way to help your Kindergarten child is to read to him or her.It is an adventure to take your child to scheduled read-a-longs at BMC.A visit to the public library in Malone can also be exciting!!!Special times can happen every day as you and your child spend time together with your favorite books!
Sleep is important!!!! We have many wonderful learning activities planned for your child.It is very important that a routine bedtime is set. How parents can help Your child now knows all of the letters of the alphabet.We are learning the sound for each letter and the long and short vowel sounds.Each week I send home a pre-decodable book.Please listen to your child read this book.Praise your child and encourage him or her to read to brothers, sisters, grandparents,and friends.Our goal in Kindergarten is to make reading an enjoyable experience.Your help is most vauable.You can help your child in math by making sure he or she knows the value of the numbers from one to ten.Count with your child whenever possible.By the end of kindergarten he or she should be able to count to 100!!

If you have questions please don't hesitate to call after the students leave at 2:20 or before they arrive at 7:30.I can not talk while the students are in the classroom as I must devote my full attention to them.You can leave a message anytime and I will be glad to call you back.
