About my Resource Room Program My program is designed to supplement and reinforce the curriculum for K-4th grade students. I am thrilled to be involved in Reading First and our new Open Court reading series. During summer school sessions, I taught phonics, fluency and comprehension to students from all grade levels. Also, I am excited about using new programs such as Read Naturally and Earobics designed to improve fluency,comprehension, and phonics.
I have been here at Brushton-Moira for 20 years now and enjoy working with students at the elementary level.
Goals of my Resource Room
- 1. remediate areas of weakness
- 2. develop areas of strength
- 3. support regular classroom work
- 4. improve study skills
- 5. encourage social growth
- 6. correlate regular class goals with resource room goals
- 7. facilitate communication with parents
- 8. facilitate communication within the school
