My Classroom

We have been getting ready for our big ELA test. Your child has taken a sample test for each of the three parts. The problem that we are having is getting done in the allotted time. Session one has a number of stories and 28 multiple choice questions. There is no time to be daydreaming and looking around. Session two has a listening part. If you do not focus and take good notes, the short answer questions are impossible to do. Session three requires reading two passages and comparing them in a long response. This is not an easy test but your child can do it if they try your best. Keep reading each night.

Homework

You should have about 30 minutes of homework each night. When I assign it, I do expect it to be done. Please try to read, read, read each night. This will help you to become a better student.
